Hello dear reader, my name is Alexis.
I have always loved drawing and telling stories with images, so it’s no surprise that it turned into a career.
I have been working in Illustration and Graphic Design for 15 years for both international and South African clients. Much of my work-time in the past 10 years has been dedicated to illustrating children’s books – and I’ve developed a passion and an interest for what I’ve come to see is an artform!
I offer services in book illustration, book design, storyboarding, brand storytelling, brand and logo design, product packaging design, illustrated course material, and creative support and consulting for individuals and teams.
One thing I have found that all my clients have in common: They all love to create, and are passionate about what they do. Each one has a vision, and wants to tell a story.
My work for each project is tailored to the clients’ needs and inspired by their offerings. I work in a variety of media, most often using a combination of hand drawn and painted artwork and digital techniques. The hand painted artwork on paper brings a soulful, raw, hand-made feel to the creations, which I love and value.
