Hello dear reader, my name is Alexis.
I have always loved drawing and telling stories with images, so it’s no surprise that it turned into a career.
I have been working in Illustration and Graphic Design for 15 years for both international and South African clients. Much of my work-time in the past 10 years has been dedicated to illustrating children’s books, but I’m happy illustrating for all sorts of things.
I offer services in book illustration, book design, story-boarding, brand storytelling, brand and logo design, product packaging design and illustration, illustrations or artwork for course material and manuals, t-shirts and posters … and more recently, art directing, project management, and creative support and consulting for individuals and teams.
My work for each project is tailored to my clients’ varied needs and inspired by their offerings and vision. I work in a variety of media, most often using a combination of hand drawn or painted artwork and digital techniques. The hand crafted artwork on paper brings a soulful, raw, hand-made feel to the creations, which I love and value.
